March 28, 2023

BETHESDA, MD, March 28, 2023 – IMB Partners (“IMB”) announced the appointment of Lenora Robinson Mills as Chief Operating Officer and Allison Alexander as Managing Director and General Counsel.
Lenora Robinson Mills is IMB’s first Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 16 years of experience in operations, investment banking and private equity. Mills joins IMB from the DC Public Charter School Board, where she served as Chief Operating Officer for seven years managing internal operations, organizational development and strategic initiatives. Before this, she began her career in investment banking at UBS. Mills previously worked alongside IMB Founder and CEO Tarrus Richardson at ICV Capital Partners, where she served as an Investment Associate from 2008 to 2010. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for E.L. Haynes Public Charter School.
“I have long admired IMB’s mission and investment strategy, and it’s clear that there are tremendous opportunities to come,” said Lenora Robinson Mills. “I’m excited to reunite with Tarrus almost 15 years after our first meeting as colleagues and a privilege to be one of the new members supporting IMB in its next stage of growth.”
Allison Alexander is IMB’s first General Counsel, in addition to responsibilities as a Managing Director. This position follows a two decade-long legal career that includes firm, in-house and private equity experience. Before joining IMB Partners, Alexander led a team of over 20 attorneys and legal support staff as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Precision Medicine Group, overseeing global legal strategy and compliance for a large private-equity-backed company. She previously served as Vice President and General Counsel of diversified investment company Clark Enterprises and Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at early-stage venture capital investment firm SCI Ventures. She began her legal career in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group at DLA Piper. Alexander currently sits on the Board of the National Center for Children and Families and the Children’s Law Center.
“For over a decade, IMB has been leading the charge in middle market private equity and creating pathways for businesses—particularly those led by women and minorities—to thrive,” said Allison Alexander. “I’m proud to join IMB at this exciting time and support the firm in its continued success.”
“Lenora and Allison join IMB at a time of incredible growth for our firm, and their combined experience and proven leadership will be an invaluable asset as we continue to lead the charge in middle market private equity,” said Tarrus Richardson, Founder and CEO of IMB Partners. “We have a shared entrepreneurial outlook and commitment to diversity and inclusion, and I look forward to the work we will accomplish together.”
This announcement follows the recent news that IMB crossed the $1 billion revenue mark in 2022, a meaningful milestone for the firm as it continues its robust growth strategy in 2023.
