As we reflect on 2021, we’d like to celebrate IMB Partners’ core value of Partnership and People First.  We value our relationship with you and welcome any opportunity to connect. We’d like to introduce you to some of our newest faces and to share the accomplishments of our portfolio companies over the past few years.

Grew Team to Support Larger Transactions

Lamar Warren, Vice President
Mr. Warren joined IMB Partners in April 2021 on our transaction execution team.
Prior to IMB, Lamar’s career spanned venture capital, private equity, investment banking, and engineering.  Most recently, he was an Investment Manager at Lockheed Martin Ventures.

Chris Bushey, CFO
Mr. Bushey joined IMB Partners in July 2021 as our CFO. Chris is also the CFO of our portfolio company, e&e, where he joined in 2014.  Prior to joining e&e, Chris
spent several years with a public accounting firm working with the audit, tax, and
business advisory teams.

Nate Chen, Senior Associate
Mr. Chen joined IMB Partners in March 2021 on our transaction execution team. Nate has over five years of private equity and investment banking experience. Prior to IMB, Nate was an Associate at Enlightenment Capital where he focused on investing in the aerospace, defense & government services sector.

Duncan Goodrich, Associate
Mr. Goodrich recently joined IMB Partners in January 2022 on our transaction
execution team. Prior to IMB, Duncan was an Analyst at The Chertoff Group where
he worked on defense technology, cybersecurity, and national security transactions.

 

Jordan Megaughey, Shared Services Controller
Mr. Megaughey joined IMB Partners in March 2021 as a Controller on our Shared
Services Team. Jordan has over nine years of experience in corporate accounting
and his background includes financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Prior to
IMB, he was the Director of Finance for Signature Consulting Group.

Hosted Inaugural Intern

As a founding sponsor of the NAIC Paradigm Changers Internship Program. IMB
hosted Princess Aghayere as our inaugural summer intern. We look forward to
supporting and nurturing the next generation of women leaders in private equity and
encourage interested candidates to apply for our summer 2022 internship program.

 

Portfolio Company Overviews

Utility Services

Invested in Lafata Contract Services, an engineering, project management, and construction management firm servicing gas & electric utility companies, in 2018. Organically grew from $15 million in revenue in 2018 to $34 million in 2021.

Food

Invested in Alder, a food supplier to U.S. military commissaries, in 2016. Formed AREA Holdings, our military food supplier holding company, in 2021. Grew from $50 million in revenue in 2016 to $111 million in 2021.

 

Invested in Richmond Wholesale, the 2nd largest food supplier to U.S. military troops, in 2020. Organically grew from $119 million in revenue in 2020 to $131 million in 2021.

 

IT Services / Cybersecurity

Invested in e&e, an IT staff augmentation company serving government and commercial clients, in 2014. Grew our IT services platform from $15 million in revenue in 2014 to $22 million in 2021.

Invested in Ashburn, a cybersecurity, network engineering, and IT solutions company serving government and education clients, in 2020. Organically grew from $13 million in revenue in 2020 to $15 million in 2021.

Insurance/ Business Services

Founded in 2014 by IMB, IMB Solutions is an insurance and financial managed services provider focused on serving the Fortune 500 and government. Grew from a pilot of $6 million in revenue in 2015 to $524 million in 2021.

 

We continue to seek new acquisitions with $10 million to $250 million in revenue in utility services, food, IT services, and cybersecurity. Please contact us with any opportunities. As always, we appreciate your continued support of IMB Partners and look forward to a productive 2022!
